CONGRESS BEWARE….. “WE THE PEOPLE” ARE WATCHING.

To the Congress:

The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775 - you have had 234 years to get it right; it is broke.   Social Security was established in 1935 - you have had 74 years to get it right; it is broke.   Fannie Mae was established in 1938 - you have had 71 years to get it right; it is broke. The "War on Poverty" started in 1964 - you have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor"; it hasn't worked and our entire country is broke.   Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965 - you've had 44 years to get it right; they are broke.   Freddie Mac was established in 1970 - you have had 39 years to get it right; it is broke.   Trillions of dollars were spent in the massive political payoffs called TARP, the "Stimulus", the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009... none show any signs of working, although ACORN appears to have found a new source: the American taxpayer. And finally, to set a new record: "Cash for Clunkers" was established in 2009 and went broke in 2009! It took cars (that were the best some people could afford) and replaced them with high-priced and less-affordable cars, mostly Japanese. A good percentage of the profits went out of the country. And the American taxpayers take the hit for Congress' generosity in burning three billion more of our dollars on failed experiments.   So with a perfect 100% failure rate and a record that proves that "services" you shove down our throats are failing faster and faster, you want Americans to believe you can be trusted with a government-run health care system?   20% of our entire economy?   With all due respect,   Are you crazy?

I am NOT Ashamed

I'm not ashamed to say I'm a Christian. I am proud to be labeled a right-winged extremist just because I attended a tea party. I am not embarrassed to be fiscally conservative and I'm glad I have common sense. I am proud to stand up for the Constitution. I am sick of Government over-spending, taking away our freedoms, taking over businesses, insurance companies, banks, etc. Now they want to take control of our Health care system and push the propaganda of Global Warming. To steal a quote from our first lady, "For the first time in my adult life, I am ashamed of what our Government is doing to tear down this country" I am ashamed that I sat on the couch and didn't pay attention to the Government when they were growing more powerful and overstepping what they were intended to do. So for now, I'm proud to be called a Patriot and linking with others who feel the same as I do to fight what is going on in Washington.

*Perception* ...something to think about...

Washington, DC Metro Station on a cold January morning in 2007. The man with
a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time
approx. 2 thousand people went through the station, most of them on their
way to work. After 3 minutes a middle aged man noticed there was a musician
playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried
to meet his schedule.

4 minutes later:

the violinist received his first dollar: a woman threw the money in the
hat and, without stopping, continued to walk.

6 minutes:

A young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his
watch and started to walk again.

10 minutes:

A 3-year old boy stopped but his mother tugged him along hurriedly. The kid
stopped to look at the violinist again, but the mother pushed hard and the
child continued to walk, turning his head all the time. This action was
repeated by several other children. Every parent, without exception, forced
their children to move on quickly.

45 minutes:

The musician played continuously. Only 6 people stopped and listened for a
short while. About 20 gave money but continued to walk at their normal pace.
The man collected a total of $32.

1 hour:

He finished playing and silence took over. No one noticed. No one applauded,
nor was there any recognition.

No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the greatest
musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever
written, with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. Two days before Joshua
Bell sold out a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $100.

This is a true story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station
was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about *perception, taste and people's priorities*. The questions raised: in a
common place environment at an inappropriate hour, do we perceive beauty?
Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context?

One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be this: If we
do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the
world, playing some of the finest music ever written, with one of the most
beautiful instruments ever made.... How many other things are we missing?

Are you going to a tea party today? Across the Nation there are people gathering that are sick of what the government is doing. Spending our tax dollars on all the bailouts and stimulus packages with billions of dollars in earmarks with money going to organizations like Acorn who is under investigation for corruption and voter fraud.
I heard that a memo went out to the Missouri police that any Ron Paul follower, or someone with a bumper sticker that is anti-Obama or even flying an American flag in front of your house is considered a terrorist by our government.

Today on Fox they said the government has now said that the tea party followers are from the weather underground, the same organization that Bill Ayers was from in the 60's. What a bunch of BS !!!!!!!!!

I'm a 58 year old widow that is going to a tea party today. That is my American right to assemble peaceably in protest of what our government is doing. If I'm a threat to this Nation then so be it. The only reason I could possibly be a threat is because I speak the truth and I will be like Patrick Henry on that one. "Give me liberty or give me death"

We are being governed by a corrupt and evil Chicago mob that will stop at nothing to shut us up. It is not going to happen, the American people are sick of their rights being taken away and their tax dollars being wasted. If I have a money problem, I tighten my belt and do without some things. That is the way I was taught. It certainly wasn't to throw good money after bad. It is pretty easy to spend other people's money, we see that from our government. You have to remember that the government has NO money. What they are spending is our tax dollars.

The tea parties are going to be peaceful events.......that is unless what I heard starts happening. We have been warned that there may be Obamasites that will be there to try to stir things up and make trouble to make us all look bad.

If you have been following the bills that are being passed lately you will see that many of our freedoms are being taken away. The tea parties are not about that right now. I think that if the government continues to ignore us, the next revolutions will not be so peaceful. People are fed up and they know that government works for us, not the other way around. And if the government doesn't start acting like that, there will be bloodshed before it is over.

I could go on and on about this issue so don't get me started...lol
