> The quote of the decade: > “The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, 'the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.” > ~ Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006

Let me get this straight . . . .
We're going to be "gifted" with a health care
plan we are forced to purchase and
fined if we don't,
Which purportedly covers at least
ten million more people,
without adding a single new doctor,
but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents,
written by a committee whose chairman
says he doesn't understand it,
passed by a Congress that didn't read it but
exempted themselves from it,
and signed by a President who smokes,
with funding administered by a treasury chief who
didn't pay his taxes,
for which we'll be taxed for four years before any
benefits take effect,
by a government which has
already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare,
all to be overseen by a surgeon general
who is obese,
and financed by a country that's broke!!!!!
'What could
possibly go wrong?'

I've had a Wonderful Life By Carroll Roberson

I've had a Wonderful Life, The Lord's been so good to me,
I've had a wonderful life, if tomorrow I never see,
If I had no more, blessings in store, I'd never ask or wonder why,
If I die today I could honestly say, I've had a wonderful life.

I've had some good times and I've seen the bad,
but thanks to Jesus my hearts not sad, I'm happy today,
even though I have some regrets, there's one thing I'll never forget,
Jesus stood by my side all of the way

I've had a wonderful life, the Lords been so good to me,
I've had a wonderful life, if tomorrow I never see
If I had no more blessings in store, I'd never ask or wonder why,
If I died today I could honestly say, I've had a wonderful life,

If I had no more blessings in store, I'd never ask or wonder why,
If I died today I could honestly say, I've had a wonderful life,
I've had a wonderful life, yes, I've had a wonderful life

Song

In case anyone wondered where I disappeared to: It's been a long couple of weeks with Mom being air lifted to Indianapolis Methodist Hospital, then her passing, then a wonderful celebration of her life at the funeral. She loved this song and said it was exactly how her life was. She was a woman of strong faith and I could only hope to be half as strong as she was. I hope people say the things about me when I am gone, she was dearly loved and thought of as a very kind and considerate person. She will be missed by all

Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907

The year is 1907, one hundred and 3+ years ago.

READ PRINT UNDER PICTURE!

Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.'

Theodore Roosevelt 1907

Every American citizen needs to read this!
